Third-parties can use student email addresses for communication with students regarding the course, and third-parties may store personal data generated by the course site tools for the purpose of maintaining educational records or other legitimate educational purposes.

Our Site uses "cookies" to obtain certain types of information when your Web browser accesses the Site. TAP is located in the United States and some of its service providers (including affiliates acting in this capacity) are located in the United States or elsewhere outside of Canada. As a result, your personal information will be processed and stored outside of Canada for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. While outside of Canada, personal information will be subject to applicable local laws, which may permit government and national security authorities in those jurisdictions to access your personal information in certain circumstances.

EMPLOYEES AND AUTHORIZED CONTRACTORS

Our employees and authorized contractors may need to access information about you when they require this information to perform their job. For example, a customer support representative would need access to your account to validate your identity and respond to your question or request; our email communications team would need access to your contact information to ensure this information is sent correctly and any unsubscribe requests are properly managed; and our security staff would need to review information to investigate attempted denial of service attacks, fraudulent account activity, or other attempts to compromise the Services.

All our employees and contractors are required to agree to maintain the confidentiality and protect the privacy of your information.


INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other data protection laws, information about you may only be transferred from your region to other regions if certain requirements are met. For instance, under the GDPR, information about you may be transferred from the European Economic Area (EEA) to outside the EEA if adequate data protections are in place. Our Services are managed by TAP’s headquarters in the USA. TAP also uses third-party service providers, such as managed hosting providers, credit card processors, and technology partners to provide the software, networking, infrastructure and other services required to operate the Services. These third-party providers may process or store personal data on servers outside of the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, including in Canada or the US. We rely on adequacy (if sent to the USA) and standard contractual clauses (if sent to the US or onward to other countries) to ensure that information about you is lawfully transferred under EU law.


POLICIES AND PROCEDURES FOR COMPLYING WITH AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT

TAP complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Food Handler Card law does not prohibit a stakeholder from having assistance in the study of the course and examination. The stakeholder may have another party read, translate or operate the computer. There are no special medical requests needed. The stakeholder may not have assistance with the actual selection of the examination answers. The stakeholder may communicate the answer to the other party to click the chosen answer. Any needs outside of these policies and procedures are not anticipated. Stakeholders protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act do not need permission from TAP prior to purchasing or taking the course and examination.


ACCESSIBILITY POLICY

TAP is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its website for people with disabilities. TAP shall ensure accessibility to Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) for individuals with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and all other applicable statute and regulations. Any issues should be reported to Privacy Team.
